Why I started LiveStalksLocal
I've spent my whole life in technology — and just as long loving farmers markets and the small businesses behind them. So when a friend told me his buddy's farm was struggling to sell what they grew, it stuck with me. He asked if I could build them an online store, and that one question grew into something bigger: a way to bring a bunch of local farms together so you could buy real food straight from the people who grow it.
I'd heard my whole life that family farms are struggling, and I wanted to do something about it — while helping my own community eat better at the same time. That's what this is. Not a faceless grocery app. Me, connecting you to the farms right next door.

The problem...
Real food shouldn't be this hard to find
We've all gotten used to food that travels across the country and sits in a warehouse before it reaches us — produce with no name behind it, "local" claims with no farm attached, a farmers market that's open one morning a week if you can make it.
Here's the thing: most farms would love to sell to you directly. The catch is the technology to do it has always had too high a barrier, and most producers were never set up for it. So I built LiveStalksLocal to fix that — an easy way for the farms and makers near you to open their doors to you online.
